Crash aérien en Colombie: l'hypothèse de la panne sèche se renforce

Il faudra attendre les résultats de l'analyse de la boîte noire et des enregistrements de la tour de contrôle, mais la cause du crash de l'avion qui a fait 71 morts mardi en Colombie semble bien être une panne sèche de carburant.

Aucune réponse définitive n'est attendue avant six mois quant aux causes du crash qui a fait 71 morts mardi en Colombie.

L'enquête sur le crash aérien, qui a fait 71 morts en Colombie, s'oriente vers une panne de carburant. Un hommage au club brésilien de Chapecoense, dont la plupart des footballeurs sont décédés dans l'accident, a par ailleurs été rendu mercredi au stade de Medellin.

L'hypothèse de la panne sèche doit toutefois "être analysée par les enquêteurs, comme les informations de la boîte noire ou les enregistrements de la tour de contrôle", a déclaré à des journalistes Alfredo Bocanegra, directeur de l'Aviation civile colombienne. Il a précisé qu'aucune réponse définitive n'était attendue avant six mois.

"L'appareil n'avait plus de carburant au moment de l'impact", a assuré en conférence de presse le secrétaire de la sécurité aérienne de l'Aviation civile, Freddy Bonilla. Il a insisté sur le fait que l'avion n'avait pas respecté l'obligation internationale d'avoir en soutes une quantité de carburant supérieure à celle nécessaire, afin de pouvoir notamment changer d'aéroport en cas d'urgence.

Cette éventualité semblait corroborée par un message du pilote à la tour de contrôle. "Mademoiselle, Lamia 2933 est en panne totale, panne électrique totale, sans carburant!", aurait lancé Miguel Quiroga, peu avant 22 heures lundi (04 heures suisses mardi), à quelques minutes du crash.

Diffusé mercredi par plusieurs grands médias colombiens, ce message n'a pas été confirmé par les autorités. Celles-ci ont même parlé "d'inexactitude chronologique". Une source militaire avait, quant à elle, estimé mardi qu'il était "très suspect que malgré la chute de l'appareil, celui-ci n'ait pas explosé. Cela renforce la théorie du manque de carburant à bord de l'appareil".

 

Dépouilles identifiées

L'accident est survenu lorsque l'appareil a percuté une montagne, quelques minutes avant son atterrissage sur l'aéroport de Rio Negro, qui dessert Medellin (nord-ouest). Il avait à son bord 77 personnes.

Le chef de la diplomatie brésilienne José Serra est arrivé à Rionegro pour s'informer de la situation des rescapés et du transfert des dépouilles. Cinquante-neuf d'entre elles ont été identifiées: 52 Brésiliens, cinq Boliviens, un Vénézuelien et un Paraguayen. Ce travail d'identification devrait être terminé jeudi.

Le modeste club de Chapecoense devait jouer la finale de la Copa Sudamericana, l'équivalent de l'Europa League, face au mythique Atletico Nacional de Colombie à Medellin. Le club a demandé à la Conmebol, la confédération sud-américaine, que la Copa Sudamericana soit attribuée d'office à Chapecoense.

Dans le stade de Medellin, quelque 30'000 personnes ont rendu hommage aux victimes, parmi lesquelles une vingtaine de journalistes sportifs. L'Atletico Nacional avait invité ses fans à venir à l'heure prévue du match, en fin de journée, vêtus de blanc et avec des bougies.
