«I don’t like Mondays” is a song written by Bob Geldof and Johnnie Fingers, and released back in 1979 (it’s hard to believe that it is already forty years old this year!). The song and its lyrics were a reaction to a shocking and sad event of that time, though for quite a few people (myself included) it’s probably fair to say that the lyrics strike a chord for the obvious reason that it’s sometimes hard to feel motivated to get up and go to work after the weekend.
