I’ve been catching up on old news recently by reading a backlog of La Côte newspapers. One article in particular caught my eye; a report on an environmental debate held at the Gymnase of Nyon in January.

In the high school debate, an RTS journalist asked the students: “Who is never going to travel on a plane again for environmental reasons, or who has never flown in an plane before?” Seemingly, no one raised their hands.

For those of us that care about the environment, but still need to travel for business or family reasons, this subject is an ongoing dilemma. I personally take the train as much as I can but sometimes it’s just not possible. Living away from one’s home country means that family events and emergencies demand your presence and you just have to get to your destination quickly.
