Living in Nyon: tea bags, Brexit and Bern

Bonjour everyone. After a four-week break away, it’s good to be back in Vaud. This last month has been a bit of whirlwind of weddings, special events and trips to both England and Scotland.

During my time in Britain, the conversation nearly always turned to the subject of Brexit. Friends, family and former colleagues were all keen to give their opinions on the issue. So, it was a joy to arrive back here in Nyon last Saturday and forget about the dreaded B word and catch up with some Swiss news for a change.

But, inevitably, an article caught my eye in a Sunday newspaper. The headline read, “La Suisse n’a pas peur du Brexit dur: son plan est prêt”.
