Fabian Frei : "Il ne faudra pas laisser le moindre espace à Robert Lewandowski"

La Suisse rencontrera la Pologne samedi pour son huitième de finale de l'Euro 2016. Pour le milieu de terrain Fabian Frei, il est difficile de dégager un favori.

Fabian Frei a confiance en cette équipe suisse.

"Cela sera du 50-50 !" S'il pariait, Fabian Frei ne miserait pas, à l'entendre, sur le Suisse - Pologne de Saint-Etienne. Un pari trop dangereux pour un homme aussi réfléchi.

"Les deux équipes se ressemblent un peu, lâche le demi de Mayence qui était entré en jeu lors du premier match contre l'Albanie. Elles peuvent toutes deux créer du jeu. Elles ont démontré cette semaine qu'elles étaient capables de résister aux grandes équipes, nous contre la France, la Pologne contre l'Allemagne. Et elles ont toutes les deux une certaine marge de progression."

"Les Polonais n'ont pas de secret pour nous. Croyez-moi, nous savons tout de cette équipe", affirme le Thurgovien un brin bravache devant la presse polonaise. Fabian Frei et ses coéquipiers savent qu'il "ne faudra pas laisser le moindre espace à Robert Lewandowski". "Ce joueur est un joueur exceptionnel", poursuit-il.

Pour Fabian Frei, la Suisse ne manque toutefois pas d'atouts. "Le groupe est très fort, dit-il. Je parle des vingt-trois joueurs qui le composent. A l'entraînement chaque jour, je mesure la qualité de ce groupe."
